Who and why?Mentoring is a relationship between two people (mentor and mentee) which focuses on mentors acting as a facilitator and trusted advisor, with no agenda other than to support and challenge the mentee in their development, adding value and guidance by sharing experience, resources and networks. The course is aimed at managers who are either already mentors or have an interest in becoming a mentor. Course overviewThis course is highly experiential and interactive in nature. Delegates learn and practise the fundamental skills of mentoring using specific business case scenarios and gain an understanding of the context within which being a mentor works most effectively. Delegates will understand how to achieve a mutually beneficial agreement that ensures a clear purpose and direction for the mentoring, learn the key stages of the mentoring process and appreciate the importance of perceptions, attitude and mindset.
