Who and why?

This course is for anyone who needs to manage themselves and maximise the use of their time.

What is the impact of poor time and priority management on UK organisations? Recent research covering 2,500 businesses over four years in 38 countries, indicates that wasted time costs UK companies £80bn per year, equivalent to 7% of GDP.

This makes it all the more important for individuals to think creatively about time and to make changes to improve their time management. Saving 5 minutes a day will increase productivity by 2.6 full days. This course will teach delegates how to achieve this and more.

Course overview

This course covers the fundamental principles of time and priority management and recognises the common realities of today’s workplace. Interruptions are a daily challenge for most people; misuse of emails has superseded meetings as the biggest time stealer at work. While meetings can either impede progress and waste time or be highly effective when handled well.

No one can increase the quantity of time available, only the quality of its use. Successful time management comes from individuals managing themselves more effectively.

This course empowers delegates to use new approaches to make maximum use of their time and to formulate plans for doing so. Delegates will learn how to overcome any barriers they experience working effectively under the constraints of time pressure. They will acquire expertise in setting goals and creating action plans, leading to higher levels of personal and professional fulfilment.
